Terrific episode. Apple is extraordinary, but mostly for dumbing down computers for non-geeks and convincing people that Apple gear was leading edge because it looked good. They did lead in desktop publishing software for some time. But again, their brilliance was in catering to people who thought, like them, that marketing could cover for technical deficiency. As for Chinese tech brilliance... they are obviously way ahead of the US and every other Western country. But the South Koreans have about 1,000 robots per 10,000 employees and the Chinese have about half that. That says it all.
